WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING WITH YOU

Preparing for your initial consultation ...

The purpose of the initial consultation is for us to learn about your case, evaluate it with you, decide if both parties want to proceed, and if so, sign an Agreement for Legal Services so we can start working on your case. For us to fully evaluate your case, it is important that we have as much information as possible at the initial consultation.  You will need certain information, like the job start date, job title, salary, and end date. You should also bring the following documentation with you, if possible:

1) all forms you have received from the Division of Unemployment Insurance (*required)

2) termination/resignation letter

3) employment contract

4) employee handbook

5) records of any disciplinary actions

6) copies of any other documents/communications relevant to the job separation

7) lists of possible witnesses, and their contact information

8) a timeline of dates and times of relevant events

9) copy of final pay stub

10) a form of payment (in case we are retained)

You should plan for your initial consultation to take at least an hour and a half, which provides time for you to complete initial forms and provide documents, time for us to review them, time for us to discuss your case and the terms of possible representation with you, and if applicable, to begin preparing for your hearing. You are free to ask as many questions as you may have.
